I was Born in 1996 in central part of Czech republic where landscape is dominated by fields and scattered woodlands. No mountains nearby and a very few places untouched by the agricultural industry. Luckily enough hiking, traveling and trips to nature away from all the endless fields were part of my life while growing up, but in spite all of that, I had never really tried to capture landscape that I was seeing in any way. And that had been the case up until year 2018 when, while studying at the university, I got, quite unexpectedly, my first camera as a gift. I was excited yet completely unaware that it is going to change my life for many years to come.

It was a small APS-C mirrorless camera but it had done it’s job - enabled me to learn. 2018 was a year when mirrorless system were already a pretty big thing in a photography world and while gradually moving to a full-frame ballpark I must admit that I have never done much of a photography with a classic DSLR camera. On the other hand though, mirrorless was probably one of the things that helped me to learn quicker since I didn’t understand even the very basics i.e. what the aperture or ISO really is. Furthermore, two other crucial factors were involved… First. It is pretty easy to find a lot of theory on this subject online these days. Countless video tutorials and articles about everything you need or want to know. Second. There had always been a good number of landscape photography books at my disposal at home from authors like David Muench or Art Wolfe and also at the time when I really started getting into the photography I discovered many more amazing photographers online and spent hours scrolling through all the incredible landscape photos. And seeing other people’s photos is something that in my opinion helps a lot to every photographer. It gives you something to build on and develop your own style as well as improve your composition by deciding on what you like and what you don't.

Landscape was an obvious choice for me and the more I dug into it the more it basically became not just a hobby but an inherent part of my life which I now devote quite a bit of my free time to despite having a full-time job. Few years back I had gained enough confidence to post my photos online on social networks. Since then I had the opportunity to visit some really extraordinary places in my home country and all around the world. It had taken another few years before I finally made a decision to set up my own little website to share my photos in a bit more sophisticated fashion with those who might enjoy them or perhaps would want to get one for themselves as well.
